HP Linux Imaging and
Printing (HPLIP) enables printing and
scanning on HP devices under Linux (supported
devices).

Because printing functionality is already available through the AVM print
server, this package provides only scanning functionality. It also
provides the infrastructure required by hp-utils, which can
display, for example, ink levels and printer status in a web interface.
