nagios 2.11 (binary only) - DEPRECATED⚓︎

The software Nagios
(Network + Hagios, formerly NetSaint) is used to monitor complex IT
infrastructures.

For this purpose, Nagios provides a collection of modules for monitoring
networks, hosts, and especially services, as well as a web interface for
querying the collected data. Nagios is licensed under the GPL, so it is
free software, and runs on many Unix-like operating systems.

Nagios can be extended with modules. Many ready-made modules are already
available, and developing custom modules is often not particularly
complicated either.

In Freetz, Nagios is based on the microperl package.

  • The package currently has no web interface. The configuration files are
not adapted to the box, and neither the HTML files nor the CGI files are
copied into the image. A fair amount of manual work is therefore needed.
