irssi is a
console IRC client, meaning
that unlike most other IRC clients, irssi does not use a graphical
interface. This naturally makes it interesting for our Freetz box. Since
irssi has a scripting engine based on
Perl
, its core functionality can be extended with Perl scripts, provided Perl
(for example [packages/microperl microperl]) is also installed on the box.
